August 9,2025 I Marked the 1st Inaugural class for Community Leaders Formation Program (CLFP) held at Benguet State University’s International Relation Office ( BSU-IRO). Betty Listino, chairperson of Pansigedan Advocacy Cooperative (PAC) and the CLFP lead convenor, welcomed the enrollees consisting of local community leaders and she focused on their roles in bringing the voices of the people to better help the local communities. The program included the presentation of all confirmed field school and school-on-air enrollees. Also, the representative of the different implementing partners such as Benguet State Univerty College of Social Sciences ( BSU-CSS) and College of Public Admistration (CPAG),Β BBSI, University of the Philippines NSTP (UP NSTP), Department of Interior Local Government (DILG)- Cordillera Admistrative Region (CAR) and CSO desk and observers stated their declaration of commitment to the CLFP. With almost 50 attendees including enrolled learners, observers, partners, and volunteers took part in the program. Sessions already start in the afternoon and will run every other Saturday. TheΒ six week-long program aims to futher upskill effective leaders in the community, enhance the skills of community-based leaders, empower educators to integrate leadership and community engagement into their curricula, and enable advocates to mentor future leaders and contribute to program development. //Hannah Wilang and Kane Dominic David
