Attending the 2nd Open-Ended Working Group Meeting on the Science Policy Panel (SPP) to address chemicals, waste, and pollution in Nairobi, Kenya, from December 9-16, 2023, was a highly informative experience. Organized by UNEP, the meeting focused on developing a science-policy interface to address global challenges related to hazardous chemicals and waste management.
Engaging with experts and policymakers, I gained deeper insights into the complexities of pollution prevention and the importance of evidence-based decision-making. The discussions reinforced my commitment to advancing solutions for sustainable chemical and waste management in both local and international contexts.
