Embracing Cultural Heritage: Cordillerans Proudly Showcase Indigenous Dances to the Community

The Indigenous dances are part of our culture as Cordillerans and we are delighted to showcase these dances to the community.

Integrating cultural dances into the curriculum is crucial. According to Ms. Corina L. Masing, it is unusual for the youth to have access to the culture which is likely to be forgotten because we are near the urban areas. “Ang kagandahan ng integration ng Indigenous dances so that they (the youth) will not forget. It is more of an appreciation of culture. Also, the students from the lowland areas will appreciate the culture we have here in the Cordillera by starting from the Indigenous dances.”

Ms. Masing’s students from her class in Pathfit 4 showcased the different dances of the tribes of the Cordillera Region as part of their curriculum.//Jethrine Ann Tomas Pasian CHK Student
