Benguet State University is the top university in Northern Luzon in the July 2023 report of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. The University ranked 32nd overall among 366 universities in the Philippines wherein BSU retained its position from the January 2023 edition. On a wider scale, BSU was ranked 5794th out of 30,000 HEIs from over 200 countries.

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is an initiative of the Cybermetric Lab, the largest public research group in Spain. This ranking system selected the universities and colleges based on the following indicators: online visibility, transparency or openness, and excellence.
