On November 7, 2025, Benguet State University welcomed delegates from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University for a courtesy visit at the International Relations Office. The group was composed of four international affairs coordinators and ten inbound students from Indonesia and Thailand under the SEAMEO SEA Teacher Batch 11 Program.
The visit aimed to give the students a deeper understanding of BSU’s internationalization initiatives and cultural engagements.
After meeting with Dr. Rex John G. Bawang, BSU IRO Director, the guests went on a short campus tour guided by staff from the University Public Affairs Office and the International Relations Office.
During their tour, the delegates visited the Benguet State University Library & Information Services, where they were welcomed by Lauren P. Kipaan, Library Director. They also explored the Cordillera Regional Apiculture Center with Schereid Joi N. Ugnasi of CRAC, the Food Science Research and Innovation Center with Caster Troy B. Iblogan of FSRIC, and the Strawberry Farm guided by Leonard D. Licudan of ATBI.
The activity highlighted the shared commitment of BSU and DMMMSU to international cooperation and the advancement of education and research. This engagement supports #SDG4QualityEducation, #SDG17partnershipsforthegoals, and #sdg16peacejusticeandstronginstitutions by promoting collaboration and global understanding in higher education.
