As part of its continuing efforts to expand international partnerships and strengthen academic collaboration, Benguet State University (BSU) and North Carolina Wesleyan University (NCWU), USA, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 17, 2026, at the BSU Administration Building.
This partnership, made possible through the initiative of the College of Human Kinetics (CHK), aims to strengthen academic collaboration and engagement between BSU and NCWU. The partnership covers various areas of cooperation, including academic exchange, collaborative programs, research initiatives, and sports-related activities that will benefit both institutions.
The MOU was signed by BSU President Kenneth Alip Laruan, Vice President of Academic Affairs Janet P. Pablo, and Coach Tim Dornemann, Associate Professor of Exercise Science, who represented NCWU President Evan Duff during the signing ceremony. The event was witnessed by International Relations Office (IRO) Director Rex John G. Bawang, together with faculty members and staff of the College of Human Kinetics.
Following the ceremony, Coach Dornemann conducted a two-day lecture and drill session for incoming second-year Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) students in collaboration with CHK. Held on June 17–18, 2026, at the BSU Covered Court, the activity focused on Physical Education, agility training, and the development of the total athlete.
As part of the program, students participated in exercise demonstrations and group presentations according to their respective specializations, including Combative Sports, Volleyball, Swimming, Football, and Athletics.//✍️📸 K.
