Benguet State University warmly welcomed representatives from Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd., one of China’s leading agribusiness companies and a global leader in modern livestock production, during their visit to the University on June 9, 2026.
The delegation was received by Vice President for Academic Affairs Janet P. Pablo, International Relations Office (IRO) Director Rex John G. Bawang, and IRO staff during a courtesy visit at the Office of the University President.
Led by Human Resources Manager Li Yaohui, the delegation visited BSU to explore potential cooperation in support of the company’s long-term development goals in the piggery industry. During the courtesy visit, the delegation also shared its plans and potential cooperation initiatives in the fields of agricultural technology, professional talent development, and other related areas.
Following the courtesy visit, the delegation met with representatives from the College of Engineering, the College of Home Economics and Technology, and the Department of Crop Science and the Department of Animal Science of the College of Agriculture at the IRO Function Hall to further discuss potential areas of collaboration.
During the meeting, representatives from Muyuan Foods presented the company’s innovations in smart pig farming technologies, biosecurity systems, and sustainable livestock production practices. Discussions focused on opportunities for student internships, recruitment of graduates, and possible industry-academe partnerships in agriculture and other related fields.
The meeting also opened discussions on the possible establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Benguet State University and Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd. as a framework for future collaboration.
Through this engagement, BSU and Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd. look forward to exploring opportunities that foster innovation, professional growth, and meaningful international partnerships.
