Pre-Departure Orientation Session
PDOS serves as a primer to provide basic and practical information which will be beneficial to the travelling faculty/staff/student of the university. By the end of the PDOS, participants are expected to be well-equipped with the necessary knowledge to navigate their upcoming travel engagement confidently.Services And Support System for Internationalization
October 9, 2023Earlier today, the IRO conducted a Pre-Departure Orientation Session (PDOS) for Curriculum Development on AgroEcology (CDAE) Project members and Sakura Science Exchange Program grantees in preparation for their upcoming trips to Vietnam and Japan.Participants in the PDOS included CDAE Project members Kenneth Laruan and Joahna Alafag, as well as Sakura Science Exchange Program grantees Jessica Rivera, Rashid Lokines, Mattyline Camfili, Kacy Labon, Mary An Altaki, and Jenny Balao. The BSU CDAE Taskforce is scheduled to travel to Vietnam from October 11 to 15, 2023, while the Sakura Science grantees will travel to Japan from November 12 to 18, 2023.During the orientation session, participants received information and guidance on various aspects of their international travels including cultural awareness, safety measures, and resources available to them while abroad. The goal of PDOS is to ensure that they are well-prepared and equipped to make the most of their experiences.In addition. the IRO had the privilege of welcoming Director for a Day Grace Palayen from Loo National High School in Buguias. During her visit, Grace gained valuable insights into the functions of the International Relations Office and was introduced to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). August 11, 2023CVM Instructor Dr. Samantha P. Aquino is a grantee of the US Department of Agriculture Faculty Exchange Program (USDA-FEP) for Southeast Asia Veterinary Medicine. Her engagement will be at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, USA which will run from August 15 to December 2023.Earlier today, Dr. Aquino completed the Pre-Departure Orientation Session (PDOS) wherein IRO Director Maria Luz D. August 7, 2023๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐| ASEAN AMBASSADOR VISITS BSUAmbassador Elizabeth Buensuceso, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, visited the University on February 17, 2023. The ambassador and her party engage in a strawberry picking activity at the BSU- ATBI Incubator Farms. VP for International Relations Stanley F. Anongos Jr. and Star Colleges President Ambrosio Alawas accompanied the visitors.To welcome the visitors, the IRO hosted a lunch meeting. The banquet provided an opportunity for the ambassador and BSU officials to discuss the promotion of Cordilleran products in the ASEAN region. In addition, Ambassador Buensuceso took the opportunity to enlighten the group on the symbols of the ASEAN flag. May 19, 2022The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible.
