
Benguet State University (BSU) continues to strengthen its global standing in sustainability, advancing from the 801–1000 band in 2025 to the 601–800 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.
The Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings, formerly known as the THE Impact Rankings, is the only global ranking that assesses how higher education institutions contribute to sustainable development in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2026, the ratings evaluated 1,646 universities from 116 countries and territories across 17 SDG categories and one overall ranking.
BSU was evaluated across 12 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with improved performance across multiple indicators reflecting the University’s growing impact in sustainability, education, research, and community engagement.

BSU’s journey in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings reflects its growing commitment to sustainable development. The University first participated in 2023, earning recognition in four SDGs among 1,591 institutions worldwide. In 2024, BSU expanded its presence to ten SDGs among 1,963 institutions. By 2025, the University was assessed in twelve SDGs and achieved an overall global rank of 801–1000. This year, BSU retained its strong presence across twelve SDGs while advancing to the 601–800 band globally.
