
The National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore is now accepting applications for the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2027, which will be held from January 4–9, 2027 in Singapore.
GYSS brings together outstanding young researchers from around the world to engage with some of the most distinguished scientists and technologists, including recipients of the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Turing Award, and Millennium Technology Prize. The summit provides an excellent platform for participants to exchange ideas, discuss emerging scientific challenges, and build international research networks.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will nominate up to 15 participants. Please note that a DOST nomination does not guarantee participation, as the final selection will be made by the GYSS 2027 Organizing Committee.
Selection Criteria:
Academic Performance – 40%
Research, Professional, and Scholarly Achievements – 40%
Awards, Honors, and Recognitions – 20%
Support for Selected Participants
The GYSS 2027 Organizing Committee will provide:
Hotel accommodation (twin-sharing) for overseas participants from January 3–9, 2027
Transportation between the hotel and the summit venue
Selected catered meals during the summit
Please note: International airfare to and from Singapore will not be covered by DOST.
